Artist Research – John Piper

In a hope to widen my scope to more textured and ‘gritty’ work for artist research, I found a couple of John Piper’s books in the library – ‘John Piper’ (The Tate Gallery) and ‘John Piper: 50 Years of Work: Paintings, drawings and photographs 1929-1979’.

Though some of the images in the books were in black and white instead of colour, it was a good way to see the differences in texture and line without being distracted by colours.
